The Perils Of Alcohol
I didn’t want to hurt you.
I gave you plenty of warnings, didn’t you hear?
I wept a little, as looked down at the corpses.
Of the slugs, in my trap, made from beer.
I haven’t posted anything for a while, so I thought I would add a little taster of something I worked on not so long ago.
Flashback is a short film that I wrote, exploring how a group of people became formed by their experiences. The clip above is a short excerpt from the finished film by BNL Productions.
I had an Email I didn’t expect today. It came from a man called Dave. Dave works for the European Podcast Awards and he wrote to tell me that The Dan Life Coach Podcast has been nominated in the personality section. Those that know me will be fully aware that I have little or no personality, so I am guessing it is based on the other experts that assist me in making the podcast. Imagine their little joyful faces if they were to win an award. Just imagine. Gwaaaan.

So, get your fingers out, ignore the fact the voting page may be in German, French, Polish or whatever. The stars are universally known. Get your vote in and make a few idiots happy. Happy idiots are safer idiots. Never forget that…
I hope all of these links and things work.
Merci beaucoup.
Danke Schön.

Thank you.
It isn’t often that you get something for nothing and I am not about to buck that trend. I could wax lyrical about the fantastically generous efforts of Dave at King Cnut Clothing for creating and sending the EXCLUSIVE* Dan Life Coach T-shirts, but I won’t. He already knows that I am sending my first born to him. Continue reading
It’s been a while…..
After many goings on, the latest episode of Dan Life Coach is on the virtual shelves at both iTunes and Stitcher. As I write this, it doesn’t actually show in iTunes yet, but they take a while to lift it out of the trolley and actually pop it onto the aisles, but if you are subscribed (or would LOVE to subscribe now….hint hint) then you will get Episode 8.
Things change.
They always do. There is little we can do to stop it. Sometimes they change for the better and sometimes they change for the worse. Sometimes, and far less often noted, they change and are neither worse nor better. Just different. Of course, at the time of the change, we aren’t always sure if the change will be better, worse or barely noticeable.
Dan Life Coach.
Well, it has taken a while, but the latest Dan Life Coach podcast is available on iTunes here, or if you prefer an Android version you can grab it from Stitcher here.
I love doing the podcasts and all of my experts have been brilliant. Mark, Jess, Bradley and Emma have dispensed the most amazing advice and far too many giggles. Massive thanks to them for their help.
Also, I need to give huge thank to BNL Productions for all of their help with hosting and teaching me the wizardry needed to get it up and running! Particular thanks to Loney and Phil. Without them it wouldn’t be as easy or as much fun. Also thanks to Ryan M for helping with the logo design etc. What seems easy to one person is a mystery to another!
Sometimes, I think I have had a pretty uneventful life. Not that it is over by any stretch. At least, I don’t think so. If you know better, why not pop the details of my impending demise into the comments box below. Preferably, before the incident that shuffles me off this mortal coil occurs. I know that would empower me to take action to prevent my clog popping, but I promise I will continue as if I never knew. Like the “dealers” when they accept the kind offer from the banker in Deal Or No Deal, and they swear to play the remainder of the game honestly. Which ties me nicely into the why I had reason to rethink the opening line of this article.
