After a busy morning, I decided that I didn’t have the time to write a poem today. However, while listening to Sean Moncrieff on Newstalk in Ireland, he issued a challenge to write a limerick about Tony Cascarino. I couldn’t refuse. I wrote one and sent it in but Sean happily told the audience that all of the entries were rubbish. I steeled myself, and wrote one more. It is probably still rubbish, but I figured it would do as my poem of the day.
There was a footy legend, Cascarino,
After training, he enjoyed a large glass of vino.
On the pitch he was a joker,
Now he’s moved on to poker,
He gets his kicks fleecing mugs in the casino.
I doubt it will win any competition, but there we go.
I had an Email I didn’t expect today. It came from a man called Dave. Dave works for the European Podcast Awards and he wrote to tell me that The Dan Life Coach Podcast has been nominated in the personality section. Those that know me will be fully aware that I have little or no personality, so I am guessing it is based on the other experts that assist me in making the podcast. Imagine their little joyful faces if they were to win an award. Just imagine. Gwaaaan.
So, get your fingers out, ignore the fact the voting page may be in German, French, Polish or whatever. The stars are universally known. Get your vote in and make a few idiots happy. Happy idiots are safer idiots. Never forget that…
After many goings on, the latest episode of Dan Life Coach is on the virtual shelves at both iTunes and Stitcher. As I write this, it doesn’t actually show in iTunes yet, but they take a while to lift it out of the trolley and actually pop it onto the aisles, but if you are subscribed (or would LOVE to subscribe now….hint hint) then you will get Episode 8.
They always do. There is little we can do to stop it. Sometimes they change for the better and sometimes they change for the worse. Sometimes, and far less often noted, they change and are neither worse nor better. Just different. Of course, at the time of the change, we aren’t always sure if the change will be better, worse or barely noticeable.
Well, it has taken a while, but the latest Dan Life Coach podcast is available on iTunes here, or if you prefer an Android version you can grab it from Stitcher here.
I love doing the podcasts and all of my experts have been brilliant. Mark, Jess, Bradley and Emma have dispensed the most amazing advice and far too many giggles. Massive thanks to them for their help.
Also, I need to give huge thank to BNL Productions for all of their help with hosting and teaching me the wizardry needed to get it up and running! Particular thanks to Loney and Phil. Without them it wouldn’t be as easy or as much fun. Also thanks to Ryan M for helping with the logo design etc. What seems easy to one person is a mystery to another!
After some technical screw ups (mostly my fault) and some dedication from Mark and Jess (not forgetting Dr. Loki), we have a new episode of Dan Life Coach! Thank you to everyone who listened, downloaded, rated and reviewed on iTunes. Obviously, more thanks to those that took the time to rate and review. In fact, the vast majority of the appreciation goes to those people. The others can have a slight nod. Try and earn more than a nod this time by recommending us. Don’t be lazy.
